HRD explosion suppression systems reacts within milliseconds (from detection by pressure/optical transmitters to activation). The powder is then released, before overpressure causes any dramatic side effects. Pouring the powder inside installation do not provoke much pressure changes (max. up to 0,3 barg), so it enables protection of installation of low reduced pressure.
Also the pressure is released by GCA gas generators by short period of time.
